There have been some big changes at Disney World recently! We just found out that Disney’s face mask policy was updated, we finally learned the fate of some restaurants, and we heard about a new construction project! Speaking of construction, you might want to see what’s under refurbishment at Disney World before your next trip. Luckily, our weekly refurbishment update fills you in on all the current refurbishments at Disney World so you know exactly what to expect.

Who else wishes they were at Disney World right now?

Let’s take a look at everything that will be closed at Disney World from March 21st to March 27th, 2022.

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Walt Disney World Railroad

Magic Kingdom’s classic Walt Disney World Railroad is currently unavailable. The attraction has been closed for quite some time, and it will remain closed while Disney works on its new TRON roller coaster. Currently, TRON construction is blocking a portion of the train tracks. For now, until construction gets out of the way, the railroad will remain unavailable.

Expedition Everest — Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also unavailable while the attraction undergoes a long-term refurbishment. It’s been closed since early January, and the refurbishment is expected to take about 3 months. Currently, we’re about a month away from the proposed opening date.

Disney has not shared a specific opening date just yet, but the Disney World website states that the closure should last through mid-April 2022. We’ll let you know when we learn more!
