PHOTOS: Disney’s NEW Cruise Ship Has Arrived in Florida!

There are some HUGE milestones that are happening (or have already happened!) for Disney in 2022!

We’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort all year long, and during those celebrations, Disney has opened new restaurants, rides, fireworks shows, and even a new immersive resort experience. Over at Disneyland Resort, there have been some exciting reopenings with attractions and restaurants, as well as some big returns in the entertainment department. However, one of the biggest milestones of the year is happening with Disney Cruise Line!

The BRAND NEW Disney Wish cruise ship is getting ready to set sail for its maiden voyage soon, and now, it has finally arrived in Port Canaveral, Florida! According to the Orlando Sentinel, the ship arrived early this morning around 5AM.

Hundreds of fans were gathered at the port awaiting its arrival, and cheers could be heard when the ship blew its horn to the tune of “A Dreama is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella. The ship officially made its way to the US from Europe starting on June 9th, where it had previously been in construction since 2020.

The Disney Wish will be christened on June 29th and the maiden voyage will take place on July 14th. Currently, the Disney Wish’s itinerary includes mostly 3-night and 4-night Bahamian sailings. It’s actually the first of three new ships planned for Disney Cruise Line, so we’ll have two more on the way in the coming years.
